02

Get a clear proposal

We'll outline scope, timeline, and cost — no hidden surprises. You'll know exactly what you're getting before we start.

03

Ship it, securely

Delivered by an experienced engineer, reviewed for security before launch, and handed over with everything you need to run it yourself.

Senior experience.
Straight talking.
No shortcuts on security

Experience is what separates fast delivery from rushed delivery. We move quickly because we know what we're doing — not because we're cutting corners. Every line of code is reviewed, every endpoint is secured, and every delivery is something we're proud to put our name on.

The work is led by Alastair McFarlane — software engineer, former CTO and Head of Engineering, with 15+ years shipping production systems for everyone from startups to FTSE 100s and Big Four professional services firms. That depth of experience goes straight into the build — no agency layer, no juniors learning on your project. More on the about page.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of businesses do you work with?
Small and medium UK businesses, charities, and founders — from one-person operations up to teams of about 50. Scope ranges from simple websites through custom internal tools, MVPs, and legacy rebuilds. If you're not sure whether what you need fits, get in touch and we'll say yes or no honestly.
Where are you based, and do you work in person?
West Lothian, Scotland. We cover Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Central Scotland for on-site work when it's useful — visits, workshops, IT support. Most software projects run remotely for UK clients, so physical distance isn't usually a blocker.
How much does a project cost?
Depends on the work. A straightforward website starts around £500; a custom internal tool or MVP typically lands between £2,500 and £15,000; larger platform builds can run up to around £30,000. We'll give a fixed quote up front — no open-ended billing unless you specifically want a day rate for exploratory work.
How long does a project take?
Websites: first draft in days, live in a week or two. Internal tools and MVPs: typically 4–12 weeks depending on scope. Larger legacy rebuilds: a few months, with the old system staying live throughout. Timelines are agreed up front and we don't run over quietly — if something shifts, we flag it early.
What happens after a project launches?
You get the source code, documentation, and whatever you need to run it yourself — no lock-in either way. If you'd rather we stayed on for ongoing updates, bug fixes, or small feature work, that's fine too. We've supported live products and websites for clients for years, so the handover-vs-continue choice is genuinely yours.
What if I need something you don't build?
We stay focused on the software and IT side, but we've got a trusted network for the adjacent bits — marketing, branding, larger-scale dev teams, specialised design — and we'll happily refer. No kickbacks, no bundling; just pointing you at people we'd use ourselves.
