For SMEs and growing teams

Replacing brittle spreadsheets and ageing tools with maintainable systems.

That system held together with VBA macros and good intentions? We'll rebuild it as something your team can actually rely on.

Let's look at what you're working with

When the old way stops working

A business-critical process lives in one person's spreadsheet
The old system crashes and nobody knows how to fix it
Staff waste hours on manual workarounds every week
You can't get reporting without asking someone to "run the numbers"
New hires are baffled by the current setup
You've outgrown the tool but dread the migration

Is this the right fit for you?

  • A business-critical process lives in a spreadsheet, Access database, or ageing tool that's starting to crack
  • You dread the migration but know the current setup can't last another year
  • You need the replacement built without taking the old system offline

Probably not a fit if it's a huge enterprise platform with dozens of integrations — that's a systems-integrator job, not ours.

How legacy modernisation works
— without breaking what's running

01

Discovery

We audit what you have — the spreadsheets, the Access databases, the scripts. We map the data, the workflows, and the edge cases your team has learned to work around.

02

Prototype

You'll see a working demo of the new system within days. Same data, cleaner interface, fewer clicks. We refine it together before building the real thing.

03

Build & migrate

We develop the replacement system and migrate your existing data across. The old system keeps running until the new one is ready — no downtime, no data loss.

04

Handover & support

Your team gets trained on the new system, you get the source code and documentation, and we're available for ongoing support if you need it.

Legacy modernisation questions, answered

Do we need to migrate all our existing data?
Usually yes, and we handle the migration for you. We'll audit your data first, clean up inconsistencies, and move everything across to the new system. The old system stays live until the new one is ready.
How long does a modernisation project take?
Typically 6–12 weeks, depending on the complexity of your existing system and how much data needs migrating. We'll give you a clear timeline upfront.
What happens during the transition?
Your team keeps using the old system until the new one is tested and ready. We run both in parallel during the switchover period so there's no disruption to your day-to-day operations.
Will our team need training?
We build systems that are intuitive enough that most people pick them up quickly. We also provide documentation and a hands-on walkthrough for your team as part of every project.
How much does it cost?
Most modernisation projects cost between £8,000 and £35,000. The range depends on data complexity, integrations, and how much of the old system needs replacing. We'll quote clearly after an initial conversation.
